To learn more about my personal life I would recommend you to check out this post.

I’m 26 years old living and working in Boston for a research and consulting firm that specializes exclusively on retail. I studied in the area, at Boston University, and have been working at my current company since 2004.

Back when I was a youngster I had to repeat the last year of kindergarten twice because my teachers thought I fitted better with the younger crowd. I don’t remember much, but I was told that I was given an IQ test at that age and I came up on the 99th percentile which would basically make me a genius. I must have lost some of those brain cells along the way though.

At some point in life I decided it would be a good idea to be a drummer. My parents were kind enough to buy me my first drumset, a white-lacquered Greggs Percussion, when I was in 5th or 6th grade. Ever since I’ve been playing drums on and off and during those early years I realized there was a good opportunity for me to share with the world the things I had learned throughout the years. There were no sites in Spanish back then to teach people how to play the drums, technique, or how to read. None of that was easy to come by back in the late 90’s. So I launched a website that has been on and off the air throughout the years, but today gets about 100,000+ page views per week.

That was right before I had helped my brother build his own website through which he made quite a lot of money and connected him with some of the masterminds in the 4×4 business world. He’s been hooked ever since.

I was pretty good at sports growing up (despite my height deficiency as I stand 5 feet and 7 inches tall) and found myself in love with basketball. I won some tournaments in high school but when I got to college things got much more competitive and I lost the edge, so I stopped playing for a team.

When I got to high school – which was away from my home town – I wanted to play for the school’s team. I did what was logic and talked to the coach by expressing my interest in forming part of the team. I was denied the opportunity, citing the fact that I had missed the try outs. I was bummed, but didn’t make much of the occasion. I signed up for intramurals that year with some kids I met in school and we must have been champs because by the end of the semester I was invited to play with the team. I was psyched.

Intramural sports were always fun and my teams were champions many times. In high school we were undefeated champs in basketball a few times; in college, I played in a soft ball team with my brother and we were undefeated champs as well. I hit my first home run ever that year.

College went by too fast. It was fun but by far the best thing that happened to me was meeting the girl of my dreams who I am still with today. Lucky me.

Today, some of that interest in creating websites is still alive and I enjoy playing around with different open source programs, such as Word Press, and modify them to make them look a tad better.

I hope you find some value in reading some of my posts from time to time, if not for educational purposes at least as a form of entertainment.
Thanks for stopping by!
